Moon water has deep roots in spiritual and magical traditions that go way back. Moon water practices trace back to ancient civilizations - the Egyptians, Greeks, and Celtic druids all worked with lunar-charged water. They believed the moon's energy could be captured and stored in water because water is such a powerful conductor and holder of energy. Think about how the moon affects our oceans with the tides - that same gravitational pull was thought to infuse water with lunar properties.
Why Collect Moon Water?
Energy Amplification - Each moon phase carries different energy. A full moon like our Strawberry Full Moon is peak manifestation energy, so the water captures that powerful vibe of the current moon in transition.
Ritual Tool - It's used to cleanse crystals, anoint candles, add to ritual baths, or spray around sacred spaces for energetic clearing.
Intention Setting - The process of making moon water is itself a ritual of connecting with lunar cycles and setting intentions.
Spiritual Cleansing - Many use it to cleanse their aura, ritual tools, or living spaces by sprinkling or spraying it around.
Different Moon Phases Create Different Moon Water
Full Moon water: Release, Cleansing, and Abundance
New Moon water: New beginnings and intention setting
Waning Moon water: Release and letting go
The beauty is that it's simple but meaningful - you're literally capturing celestial energy in something as basic as water. It's one of those practices that connects us back to our ancestors who lived much closer to natural rhythms.

June 11, 2025 we have a 'Strawberry' Full Moon. This Full Moon is in Sagittarius, bringing that fierce, adventurous energy we all need right now. She's here to show you what's ready to be harvested in your life, be it your dreasm, your growth, your sweet victories that have been growing all season long.
Want to capture this moon's sweet energy? Here's how to make your own Strawberry Full Moon water:
What You'll Need:
Clear glass bowl or jar (any container will do)
Fresh spring water
Rose petals (fresh or dried)
Instructions:
Fill your glass container with spring water
Add a handful of rose petals to the water
Place outside or on a windowsill where the moonlight can bless it
Leave overnight to charge under the Strawberry Full Moon
In the morning, strain out the petals and store your moon water
Use as desired
Let me know if you make this. Post your pictures in the CommUnity and share your thoughts!
Blessings,
Shannon aka your Spiritual Gangsta
